It has been a tradition for Medit staff to collectively volunteer at the end of every year. As 2018 has been exceptionally successful for us, it was time to take this opportunity to give back to others.
This year Medit delivered 4000 coal briquettes to a neighborhood in the northern outskirts of Seoul. These represent the only option to produce heat for the houses and a single briquette weighs over three kilograms. Unlike most of Seoul’s highly developed neigborhoods, many homes in that area lack the means to keep warm throughout the winter and it is cumbersome for a lot of the elderly inhabitants to carry home the heavy heating supplies.
We are thankful that Medit was able to help and provide support with much needed briquettes to make sure people can heat their homes during Seoul’s freezing winter nights.
