Our new wax-up bottom scanning functionality allows you to scan a wax-up bottom with a normal multi die. This optimized functionality allows the scanning of both the intrados and extrados of a wax-up to create a perfect duplication of the pontic area for a much more precise design.
During the process the base model is scanned first. You can then select the location of the prep teeth on screen ready to be scanned on the multi die. The first wax-up bottom scan is then created using the multi die. Following the scanning process the software allows editing and removal of any unnecessary data. The same steps are now applied to the second wax-up bottom. The alignment stage allows you to check and correct the alignment position of the scan.
