When you need to scan two separate impression and bite trays for occlusion, colLab’s Two Impression Tray and Bite Tray feature offers this functionality. Before scanning an upper and lower impression you will need to set the properties for each tooth.
The bite tray is scanned first using the 3-axis arm.
The upper jaw impression is then placed into the 3-axis arm and scanned. The scan is then edited to remove any unnecessary data and analyzed to check alignment. The same process follows for the lower jaw impression. Using 1 Point Align you can now align the upper jaw to the bite tray and repeat the process for the lower jaw impression. Both jaws can be accurately manipulated to ensure correct positioning.
