Face Scan for More Comprehensive Results!
By Antonino Cacioppo
“Face Scan (or extra oral scan) is useful for checking, registering, and communicating to labs of information about extraoral lines and occlusal planes needed to obtain good rehabilitation.”
Face Scan allows you to scan distinctive features of the face such as the mouth (lips) and nose to:
– Make it easier to align to the midline.
– Improve communication between clinicians and labs during Smile Design.
– Improve patient acceptance and overall treatment experience by providing
expected results.
The Face Scan feature also allows you to import 3D face data and 3D bone data (in OBJ, PLY, STL formats) to be aligned with the intraoral scan data and face data obtained using an intraoral scanner.

“Digital Patient is a new vision of dentistry and medicine.
Patient files are aligned and updated when patients visit clinics.
You can manage files for not only projects and measurements, but also to donate smiles from one to another.
It’s sort of like a ‘medical avatar.'”
