Their presence underscored the significance of this collaboration, bringing together expertise in both clinical practice and technological innovation.

Key Areas of Collaboration

Under this MOU, Medit and Kyung Hee University Dental Hospital will collaborate on several groundbreaking initiatives. The primary focus will be on the integration of digital tools in orthodontic treatment. Specifically, the partnership will leverage Medit’s latest intraoral scanner, the Medit i900, a state-of-the-art device that is already making waves in the dental industry for its accuracy, ease of use, and efficiency.

The joint efforts will center on three main areas of research and development:

  1. Maintenance Guidelines for Fixed Orthodontic Retention Devices
The two organizations will collaborate to establish precise maintenance protocols for fixed orthodontic retention devices. These devices play a critical role in ensuring the long-term stability of orthodontic treatments, and the development of standardized guidelines will help improve the quality of patient care.
  2. Development of Shape-Memory Transparent Orthodontic Devices
Another focus area is the creation of standardized treatment protocols for shape-memory transparent orthodontic devices. These innovative devices, designed to correct dental alignment discreetly and comfortably, are becoming increasingly popular, and the collaboration aims to refine their application for even better patient outcomes.
  3. Advancement of Digital Dentistry through the Medit Link Platform
The MOU also includes a commitment to advancing digital dentistry by utilizing Medit’s powerful Medit Link platform. This platform facilitates seamless communication between clinics and labs, optimizing workflows and improving treatment accuracy. Through joint research, both organizations aim to explore how this platform can further streamline orthodontic procedures, from diagnosis to post-treatment care.
