Medit has been recognized with two awards at the 2025 Institute of Digital Dentistry (iDD) Intraoral Scanner Awards, receiving Intraoral Scanner of the Year for the i900 Mobility and being named Most Innovative Company.
IOS of the Year: Medit i900 Mobility
The i900 Mobility was selected as Intraoral Scanner of the Year among products released in 2025. According to iDD, the award focused on identifying the most significant advancement introduced during the year. The evaluation noted that, rather than incremental updates or cost-focused improvements, the i900 Mobility introduced a different approach by building the entire intraoral scanning workflow natively on iPadOS. This approach reflects a broader industry movement toward mobile-based digital workflows, with the iPad increasingly positioned as a central platform in dental technology.
Most Innovative Company: MEDIT
In addition to the product recognition, Medit was named Most Innovative Company for its contributions across both hardware and software. iDD highlighted the company’s direction in developing an iPad-based scanning environment as well as its continued expansion of software capabilities. This includes advancements in orthodontic solutions, where diagnostic and treatment planning functions have been integrated into the scanner software.
The awards are based on independent evaluation, including hands-on testing and input from clinicians. iDD noted that Medit’s innovation extends beyond individual features to a broader approach in rethinking how digital dentistry workflows are structured, while maintaining core performance such as scanning accuracy.
