1. Setting up Medit Link account
- Go to meditlink.com and sign up for an account. (Clinic account or Lab account)
- Choose the clinic account option and fill out the required information.
- Verify your account via email.
2. Setting Up Medit Link Desktop Application
- Download and install the Medit Link desktop application.
- Log in using your newly created account.
3. Connecting the Scanner
- Connect the scanner directly to your laptop using the provided cable.
- Ensure the scanner tip is attached.

Ep.02 Scan: Navigating the Scanning Process
Now that you’re all set up and ready to go, it’s time to dive into the scanning process. Here’s what you’ll learn in this episode.
1. Creating a Case
- Click the Case Box tab and then the New Case button.
- Enter the patient and case names, e.g., “test.”
- Click Register & Scan.
2. Scanning Process
- Ensure the scanner is switched on and a model is ready.
- Click Scan when ready.
- Calibrate the scanner if prompted, using the calibration tool from the box.
- Scan in the order of maxilla, mandible, then occlusion.
- Press the blue scan button to start scanning each section.
- Pause by pressing the button once.
- Hold the button to move to the next step.
- Scan both right and left sides for the occlusion.
3. Completing the Scan
- After scanning, click Complete to save.
- Keep the options as they are.
- Return to Medit Link to view post-processing in the File Viewer tab.
- Once post-processing is complete, review the scan results.

- After scanning, navigate to the Form tab.
- Fill out the form, selecting prosthetic type and material.
2. Finding a lab
- Access My Info by clicking the box-shaped icon and go to Partners.
- Search for labs nearby or by name, and request partnership.
3. Placing an Order
- Return to Medit Link software and click Order.
- Enter Requested Delivery Date and any relevant memo.
4. Exporting Scan Files
- Go to the File Viewer tab and click Export.
- Choose file destination and format (OBJ, PLY, STL).
- For comprehensive data, navigate to Settings, then Case Converting Tool, and export as a meditex file.
