Posterior Rehabilitation

Dr. Omar Hendawi observed tilting of the upper 1st molar and a badly distructed 2nd molar, and the lower 1st molar had an old PFM crown that fell off.
The patient also had old amalgam restorations with bad occlusion.
Dr. Omar Hendawi acquired scan data of the pre-operation condition of the patient.
The doctor analyzed the interference between the maxilla and the mandible using the Medit Occlusion Analyzer app.
By combining the understanding of occlusion with exocad designing, Dr. Omar Hendawi created restorations mimicking the exact contacts of occlusion without any deviations.

Creating a Guide using Medit Design

For a canine transplant with minimum time and manipulation, a doctor asked Bastien Deloge to replicate the canine into a 3D printed object.
The CBCT DICOM file was converted into STL format.
Then, using Medit Design, the canine was isolated.
The mesh was cleaned and used to check the space available for the transplant.
A 3D printable tooth model was designed and printed to serve as a guide.
Bastien Deloge used Asiga Composer integrated with Medit Link to print on an Asiga printer.
Fully Digital Prosthetic Workflow

A patient came in with severe atrophic maxilla, and Dr. Mustafa Gameel decided on tilting implants.
He used the patient’s own denture for bite registration and fabricated a CoCr metal framework.
The printed CoCr metal framework with the resin prototype was cemented to the abutments to restore the patient’s smile.
